THE 7 | GREAT HOMEMADE FACIAL MASK FOR OILY PRONE SKIN.

I’ve been struggling with acne for a while now.Not to mention I have an oily skin which I find very frustrating especially when I put makeup on, and every after 5 minutes I have to check my face to make sure the makeup is still intact (how annoying it is!) 

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, I tend to have a sensitive skin too so when someone recommends a manufactured skincare products (chemicals to be precise). I become so skeptic and afraid since the last thing I want to add in this whole skin shenanigans is  a breakout! Besides these chemicals tend to be very pricey and even though you buy them without proper advice from a health care provider or a dermatologist, you may find it is just a waste of money since they can bring more harm than good to your skin.

In that case, in today’s post I share with you these 7 great homemade facial masks for acne-prone oily skin that you can prepare in the comfort of your own home and what’s more they cost way less!!!


1. TURMERIC FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder

• 2 tablespoons flour

• 1 teaspoon honey

• ¼ cup plain yogurt

• A few drops of lemon juice

Directions:

Mix the turmeric powder and flour together in a bowl. Add honey as well as few drops of lemon juice and stir. Include yogurt to the mixture. Keep stirring until a creamy paste is formed. Apply it on your face and neck and leave it for around 15-20 minutes. Remove it using a clean wet towel and rinse off with water.


2. MILK FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• ¼ cup powdered milk

• Some water

Directions:

Take ¼ cup of powdered milk and add some water to make it into a thick paste. Apply the paste to your face and leave it for around 25-30 minutes. Clean your face using warm water.


3. BANANA & OATMEAL FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• 1 ripe banana

• ¼ cup oatmeal

• 1 teaspoon honey

• 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions:

Mash the banana thoroughly. Add honey and lemon juice to the banana and mix well. Also add the oatmeal and mix again and then apply the mixture to your face. Leave it for about 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with water.


4. STRAWBERRY FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• ¼ cup fresh strawberries

• ¼ cup plain yogurt or sour cream

Directions:

 Mash the strawberries and then mix with the yogurt (or sour cream) to form a smooth paste, or to save time blend both ingredients until its smooth. Apply the paste to your face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Wash with clean water.


5. HONEY & PUMPKIN FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• 1 tablespoon cooked pumpkin

• 1 teaspoon honey

• 1 teaspoon raw apple cider vinegar

Directions:

Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix well together to forms a thick paste. Apply it on your face and leave it for about 15-20 minutes, then rinse it off with water.


6. BAKING SODA & EGG-WHITE FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• 2 tablespoons of baking soda

• 1 egg white

Directions:

Simply mix together the baking soda and egg white. Then apply it directly on your face and leave there for about 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off using lukewarm water.


7. HONEY-OATMEAL FACIAL MASK.

Ingredients:

• 2 tablespoons oatmeal

• 2 tablespoons honey

• 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

• 4 drops tea tree oil

Directions:

Grind the oatmeal in a bowl, then add honey, lemon juice, and tea tree oil to the oatmeal. Mix them together to form a paste. Apply it to your face and leave for 10-15 minutes to dry. Use cold water and a facecloth to wash off the mask.
